Hi, I'm Andy, Creative Director and founder of Oxford Visuals. I've been working as a 3D animator and motion designer in Oxford for 20 years. With degrees in engineering and multimedia design I can help bridge the gap between the technical and creative. I work directly with experts, scientists and engineers to understand their fields, then translate them into something a wider audience can see and connect with.
The world has become ever more complex and with multiple problems that need solving. I founded Oxford Visuals to focus on visualising difficult ideas in 3D for broad audiences and to show that a better, cleaner, greener more positive future is possible. I can take complex, often invisible concepts and turn them into clear, polished visuals, animations and interactive 3D.
As an approved University of Oxford supplier, I work with labs, museums, spin-offs and organisations to make big issues more tangible. Whether it's a cinematic explainer or an interactive app for the web, my goal is to make the science as engaging as possible.

At Oxford Visuals, we view the emergence of Artificial Intelligence not as a replacement for the creative spark, but as a powerful catalyst for technical precision. Our studio is built on the principle that human expertise and understanding must remain the prime drivers of the design process. We utilise AI strategically within our production pipeline to enhance speed and efficiency, ensuring we never slide towards the generic "AI slop" that compromises high-end visual storytelling.
No Slop Policy — We will never use an AI generated image or video as a final asset to deliver. In order for your ideas to stand out they need to be unique to you, your ideas, technology, services and people.
Data Security and Intellectual Property — Oxford Visuals employs a hybrid workflow combining cloud-based tools with in-house, locally run open-source models. By processing sensitive IP on our own hardware, our clients' breakthroughs remain secure and private throughout the visualisation process.
Sustainability and Environmental Impact — We do not deploy AI indiscriminately. We only utilise these tools when they represent the most appropriate and energy-efficient solution for a specific task.
